Product Introduction:
Ferulic acid, chemically known as 4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid, is a derivative of cinnamic acid. It is a phenolic acid widely present in the plant kingdom and possesses numerous bioactive functions, including scavenging free radicals, anti-thrombosis, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects, tumor inhibition, and prevention of hypertension and heart disease, as well as enhancement of sperm vitality. Ferulic acid exhibits potent antioxidant activity, effectively scavenging hydrogen peroxide, superoxide radicals, hydroxyl radicals, and peroxynitrite. It also helps regulate physiological functions by inhibiting enzymes that generate free radicals and increasing the activity of free radical-scavenging enzymes. Furthermore, it acts synergistically with other antioxidants to enhance their efficacy. Notably, the antioxidant activity of ferulic acid increases upon exposure to UV radiation, suggesting its potential role in protecting the skin from sun damage.

0.5% – 1.0%
Formulation Guidelines:
The recommended pH range is 5.0 – 8.0. Adjustments can be made using sodium hydroxide, triethanolamine, sodium lactate, or arginine.
